It was a terrible example on his part, which is why it served as such a useful example to make my point about Joch's confusion of standards and concepts.  Apparently, fusionism now involves fusing together distinct and even radically different ideas.  Perhaps that's what fusionism always was doing, but it is especially striking here.

					<description>Joch's Ten Commandments example is really terrible.  Surely he can find a better one to serve his point.  Which paleo says that "Thou shalt not murder" isn't a binding commandment?  I've never heard any of them say that murder is okay in some historical situations.  When Joch says that paleos can't tell the difference between an Enlightenment liberal and a Biblical prophet (who speaks the words of God), he's making them out to be total idiots.  Nice try, but some of us have graduated from middle school.  That entire paragraph needs a rewrite.</description>
