It remains to be seen what kind of TV ratings a Colorado / Arizona NLCS will draw. You can be sure the suits at TBS or FOX had been hoping for a Cubs / Mets NLCS.

But in the larger scheme of things, it's good for baseball when a team with little or no recent history of success comes from nowhere and makes a great run through the playoffs, like the Rockies this year and the Tigers last year.

How much trouble are the Yankees in? They're down two games to nothing, but they are coming home for Game 3 and (maybe) Game 4. They played extremely well at home all year. (When they struggled in the first half of the year, most of their problems were on the road.) But at his age and after a long layoff, who knows what to expect from Roger Clemens today? Even if they manage to tie up the series, the Yanks still have to go back to Cleveland for Game 5 and face C.C. Sabathia. That's an uphill climb.
