Huckabee represents a toxic big-government populist wing that would, like Bush, get us involved in all kinds of stupid wars because of incoherent moralisms.  I think he's more dangerous.  Lukacs has some good stuff on this coming nationalist-populism as a replacement for conservatism.</description>

John McCain is not my preferred guy, but if he and Huck are the only alternatives, I'll choose McCain in a heartbeat.  So would everybody I know, immigration notwithstanding.</description>
